ADAPT OR DIE.
Technology is transforming the world at an ever increasing pace, changing the way things have been done almost overnight — especially the way we do business. Some of these changes — globalization, out-sourcing, productions costs — present challenges. But some technological advances bring opportunity.
Until recently, hi-quality film and video communications have been the province of big corporations due to their expense. But that has changed. The equipment to produce video productions costs a tenth of what it did just a few years ago. And the internet and computers have advanced to the point that almost eveyone can now watch videos instantly on their computers, phones and other devices.
Now, ANY COMPANY can afford their own commercial, corporate and promotional videos, training videos or tradeshow video — all of which can be distributed on the web at a fraction of the cost of TV and radio airtime.
In fact, if you haven’t harnessed the power of web videos for your company or organization, you risk being left behind. The Wall Street Journal recently reported that video is the best performing format for online marketing. Other studies have shown that six times as many people prefer video to printed information. Plus, video on your website can increase the chance of front page Google results by 53x. In fact, every possible statistic shows monthly increases regarding the number of people who have internet, use it to make purchases or purchasing decisions, and preferring companies and products that have video.
The bottom line is this: people want to receive your message visually — and if you don’t deliver it that way they will turn to someone who is.
In tough times like these, there are those that batten the hatches and hope to survive, and others who bemoan the changes around them and talk about how great things used to be — until the doors close for the last time.
And then there are those who look for opportunity and ways not just to survive, but to thrive.
So, it’s your choice.
Adapt or Die.
